Policy & Doctrine - My Own Working Guidelines

  1. Policy-making to be made more real as I am dealing with People affected by them.
  2. Make me more aware of the need to listen to People and to communicate clearly and directly without sounding overly defensive of the policies or being high-handed.
  3. But please take note when dealing with ignorance People who know nuts but just want to make things difficult for all.
  4. Constantly try to educate them!
  5. Using the 90/10 followed by the 5/5 grouping.
  • 90% will understand and agreed while 10% will disagree with the initial change
  • then work on the 10% which another 5% will eventually understand and you get 95%.
  • forget about the last 5% as they either really have a better idea which I hope or just hopelessly in another world of their own.
Lastly, you might as well use your time and energy to follow up with the 95% who agreed with you and then further enhance your policy based on their feedback; instead of spending it on the 5% and neglect your 95%.
