Living with Meaning

Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that people are here for the sake of other people. - "I am here for you. You are here for me. We are here for one another."

You can judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. - "Showering another with respect is cleansing for both parties."

There is one word which serves as a rule of practise for all one's life - reciprocity. - "What goes around, comes around. what are you sending around?"

The purpose of life is not to be happy -but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all. - "Happiness is not the goal of a good life, but is can be a result."

It is in the shelter of each other that people live. - "No one thrives in this world alone. We all need one another."
